Course description
This course provides comprehensive guidance on implementing ISO/IEC 25002, part of the ISO/IEC 25000 SQuaRE (Software Product Quality Requirements and Evaluation) series. ISO 25002 defines the measurement and evaluation process for software product quality based on defined quality characteristics such as functionality, reliability, usability, performance, security, maintainability, and portability. Participants will learn how to design and conduct structured software quality evaluations that align with business needs, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement strategies.
What You’ll Learn
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
-
Understand the structure, purpose, and role of ISO/IEC 25002 in the SQuaRE framework.
-
Apply the quality evaluation process model: planning, specification, execution, and conclusion.
-
Select and define relevant software quality characteristics and sub-characteristics.
-
Identify applicable quality measures based on ISO/IEC 25023 and ISO/IEC 25010.
-
Develop quality evaluation criteria for new, evolving, or acquired software products.
-
Conduct measurement activities and gather quantitative and qualitative data.
-
Analyze and interpret results to determine software product conformity.
-
Document the software quality evaluation results for internal or customer reporting.
-
Align software quality assessment with procurement, development, or release decisions.
-
Integrate ISO 25002 with other standards such as ISO 90003, ISO/IEC 12207, or Agile frameworks.
