This specialized course provides in-depth training on designing and implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management Systems aligned with the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) standards. Based on the IOGP Life-Saving Rules, Report 510 (HSE Management Guidelines), and industry best practices, this course helps organizations enhance HSE leadership, improve risk control, and build a resilient safety culture in complex operating environments. Ideal for upstream, midstream, and downstream oil & gas operations, the course blends IOGP frameworks with elements of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and process safety management (PSM).

What You’ll Learn

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the structure and key elements of IOGP HSE management guidelines (e.g., Report 510)

• Apply IOGP Life-Saving Rules in the workplace

• Build and implement a risk-based HSE Management System tailored to oil & gas operations

• Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Bowtie, and Barrier Management

• Ensure contractor safety, permit-to-work systems, and control of work

• Manage environmental aspects: spills, emissions, waste, and biodiversity

• Plan and execute Emergency Response & Crisis Management

• Conduct incident investigation using IOGP’s Learning from Incidents (LFI) model

• Use leading and lagging KPIs to measure HSE performance (aligned with IOGP Report 393)
