SO 45001:2018/ Occupational health and safety management systems — Requirements with guidance for use

Course description

A practitioner-focused course that shows you how to design, implement, and sustain an Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) aligned to ISO 45001. We follow the PDCA backbone, starting with organizational context, leadership roles, and worker participation. You’ll learn to identify hazards, assess risks, and meet regulatory obligations while setting clear OH&S objectives and programs. We translate requirements into lean procedures and records, then build operational controls using the hierarchy of controls, contractor management, procurement, and change management. You’ll develop emergency preparedness and response arrangements, competence and communication plans, and pragmatic documented information. Performance evaluation includes selecting leading/lagging indicators, conducting incident reporting and investigation, handling nonconformities and corrective actions, and preparing for internal audits and management review to drive continual improvement.
