Course Description
This course introduces ISO 14224:2016 as the global reference framework for collecting, structuring and exchanging reliability and maintenance data for equipment in petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas operations. Participants learn the standard’s terminology, equipment taxonomy, failure and maintenance categories, and data quality expectations. Using practical examples and short exercises, the course shows how to convert raw maintenance and failure records into ISO 14224-compliant datasets. Emphasis is placed on applying standardized data to support reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) studies, risk-based maintenance, benchmarking, and the continual improvement of safety, environmental performance, and lifecycle asset management decisions in complex facilities and field operations.
